Acceptance

By accessing or using Planta, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Eligibility and Accounts

You must be legally capable of forming a contract. Accounts are provisioned via Supabase Authentication. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account.

Subscriptions and Billing

Planta offers flexible subscription plans. Paid features may be subject to recurring billing. Prices, taxes, and renewal terms are shown at checkout. Payments may be processed by trusted third parties such as Paddle or Razorpay. You can cancel any time as specified in the app or platform terms; access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing cycle.

Payment Processing

Where we use payment processors (e.g., Paddle, Stripe, Razorpay, Dodo Payments), your payment details are processed by them according to their terms and privacy policies. We do not store full payment card details on our servers. Local taxes and currency conversions may apply.

Refund Policy

AI Features and Limitations

Planta uses Google Gemini to analyze plant-related content and generate insights. AI outputs are probabilistic and may be incorrect. Use recommendations at your discretion; verify critical actions and consult professionals when necessary. We disclaim liability for decisions made solely based on AI outputs.

User Content

You retain rights to content you upload (e.g., plant photos, notes). You grant Planta a worldwide, non-exclusive license to process and display content to provide the service and improve features. Do not upload content you do not own or that violates laws or rights of others.

Prohibited Conduct

Do not misuse the service, including: reverse engineering, interfering with security, scraping at scale, uploading malware, infringing rights, or using the service for illegal activities.

Intellectual Property

Planta, including all branding, software, and content (excluding user content), is owned by us and licensed to you. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes unless otherwise permitted.

Feedback

If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant us the right to use them without restriction or compensation.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, security risks, or non-payment. You may terminate by deleting your account and ceasing use. Certain provisions survive termination.

Disclaimers

The Planta service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim warranties to the extent permitted by law, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill. Our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Planta, its affiliates, and providers harmless from claims arising out of your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Planta Terms apply worldwide. Where local law requires, consumer rights remain unaffected. Unless otherwise required, disputes will be governed by applicable law of your country of residence, and resolved in competent courts or through arbitration as specified by the platform or local law.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated through the app or website, with the “Effective date” updated.
